Quest Revenue Expected To Jump $5 Million

Quest named as an iForce Regional System Provider

Sacramento, CA: December 13, 2000 — Quest, a technology consulting and management company, has met the requirements to become a Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUNW) iForceSM Regional System Provider to offer its products and solutions in California. Quest anticipates a $5 million increase in sales and services, according to CEO Tim Burke, as many customers have an urgent need for Sun products.

"A significant number of our existing customer base want to put Sun solutions in place since Cisco products are intertwined with Sun solutions," Burke said. "Cisco products are already a large portion of our business. In fact, Quest is dominant with a large percentage of Cisco’s local market share.

"Quest will be able to offer Sun’s product lines and choices which includes desktop systems, information appliances, network connectivity, network storage solutions, carrier-grade servers and storage servers, peripherals, remanufactured systems, Sun spare parts, system and mass storage upgrades. As a part of the agreement, Quest will ensure that its employees will be certified with Sun technical and sales knowledge.

"The continued growth of Sun’s iForce Channel Partner program, with the addition of Quest, continues to extend the reach of Sun products across the United States," said Tom Gallivan, director, System Providers, Sun Microsystems. "Quest has the ability to sell a wide variety of Sun systems to meet the needs of their vast customer base by providing complete Sun solutions."

"Our goal at Quest is to anticipate the clients needs and exceed them," Burke said. "This is Quest’s strength and the Sun relationship will allow us to offer another kind of solution-no one product or service is right in every situation for every business."
