Procera Networks Announces Reseller Agreement with Quest to Build Business in US

Campbell, CA: July 13, 2004 -- Procera Networks, a manufacturer of secure content management products, signed a reseller agreement with Quest to expand its state and commercial business in California and selected other areas of the US. Quest is a technology management firm that serves diverse markets that include Fortune 50-5000 corporations, educational institutions, and state and local government. Their vertical markets include financial, healthcare, legal, manufacturing, entertainment, telecommunications and construction. They offer a wide range of solutions including networking, security, data storage, telephony, transport, and maintenance contract management services. Quest is a large privately held value added reseller and technology management firm with headquarters in Sacramento, California.

Quest now offers the Procera OptimIP™ Network Executive Appliance line of products. OptimIP Network Executive Appliance provides integrated policy-based secure content management, network optimization and undetectable network surveillance. Procera is one of the 54 vendors selected by Quest to exhibit products at the QuesTech 04 tradeshow in Sacramento, CA on October 7, 2004. This is an invitation only event for Quest clients and 600-1200 decision makers will be attending including CEOs, CIOs, COOs, CTOs, Technology VPs and Directors.

Tim Burke, Quest’s President and CEO commented, "Procera products are very complimentary to our solutions in networking, security and storage. Some of our government customers require undetectable network surveillance and Procera has a feature set that addresses this issue. These customers are often faced with monitoring systems that cannot handle the volume of traffic they see and Procera has an innovative solution to that problem. Procera OptimIP™ with ProceraTap software enables our customers to filter out irrelevant data and mirror traffic to network analysis and storage systems in real-time. The innovative technology and advanced features of Procera’s products clearly identify them as one of our new Value Vendor Partners."

Greg Dewing, VP of Sales for Procera Networks stated, "Quest is a well established reseller partner since they offer comprehensive solutions and technology management services. They provide us immediate access to a large base of customers in small and mid-size corporations, government and education. We are working together on customer visits and we are impressed how quickly the Quest team was able to learn our products and get their customers to evaluate them in mission critical applications."

OptimIP is a modular networking platform that supports multiple software solution options. The ProceraWatch software option enables businesses to increase productivity by eliminating network abuse and misuse such as peer-to-peer downloading, audio/video streaming, instant messaging, web mail, access to non-business web sites and newsgroups, etc. ProceraWatch also provides additional internal security behind the firewall and allows organizations to secure wireless networks. The ProceraApp software option optimizes business-critical application performance by prioritizing and reserving network bandwidth. The ProceraTap software option provides more effective network visibility, monitoring and archiving by providing real-time selective traffic mirroring.
