e-Security To Provide Security Event Management Solution To Quest® To Power Its Managed Security Offering

Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Leverages e-Security Solution to Create Single Portal For Real-Time Incident Control and Response

Vienna, VA: February 19, 2003 -- e-Security, Inc., the leading global provider of Security Event Management (SEM) software, announced today that Quest®, one of the top technology consulting and management firms in the country, has selected e-Security to provide SEM solutions to bolster Quest’s managed security service offering.

Quest, based in Sacramento, will integrate e-Security’s Sentinel and Wizard solutions into its managed security offering. This will enable Quest’s security team to have a single workflow portal to monitor the integrity of Quest’s customers’ firewalls, anti-virus logs, security policies, intrusion detection systems, and other security systems. The use of e-Security’s solution also offers new potential revenue streams for Quest, as it allows its customers the ability to easily check the status of their security systems through a single Web site.

"e-Security’s solutions provide our MSSP professionals the ability to track all of our customers’ security events and alerts through a single platform and to correlate and respond to them immediately," said Tim Burke, CEO of Quest. "The ability to screen out false positives allows us to focus on stopping the legitimate security incidents that threaten our customers’ businesses. When it came to selecting an engine to power our service offerings, e-Security was the clear choice for our team of security experts."

e-Security’s SEM software solution aggregates and analyzes all security threats across an enterprise’s entire network, allowing that enterprise or MSSP to respond instantly and mitigate the threat in real-time.

"Because MSSPs are charged with monitoring a wide variety of disparate security products and systems, they need a powerful SEM solution at the core of their solutions," said Joseph P. Payne, President and CEO of e-Security, Inc. "We are pleased that Quest has selected our solution as the engine for its MSSP offering. The flexibility of e-Security’s products provides tremendous scalability, allowing the company to remain up to date with its customers’ security needs and investments."
