Quest Adds Passlogix v-GO Single Sign-On to Technology Services
Simplifies & Secures Application Access for Firm’s Fortune 50-5000 Clients
June 17, 2010 —Sacramento, CA and New York, NY -
California-based technology management firm Quest announced
today that it has expanded its solutions portfolio for
banking, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality and other
vertical Fortune 50-5000 companies with the Passlogix v-GO®
family of sign-on, authentication and provisioning
solutions. Quest offerings now include
v-GO Single Sign-On, the market’s leading enterprise
single sign-on solution for application password management;
v-GO Universal Authentication Manager™, the first
solution allowing use of any strong authentication device
from any vendor for logon to Microsoft Windows; and related
products.
The partnership adds identity and access management to
Quest’s wide suite of technology offerings, which range from
products including Cisco, Citrix, EMC, IBM, Microsoft and
VMware to services such as wireless and structured cabling,
data backup, disaster recovery, business continuity,
telecommunications and transport, and maintenance contract
management.
With v-GO solutions, Quest can help clients speed application
access and strengthen data security by automating
application password entry at both individual and shared
workstations, eliminating written password lists, locking
open kiosk sessions when users walk away without logging
off, providing device-agnostic strong authentication for
network logon and more. v-GO products will also help Quest
clients comply with a variety of regulatory requirements,
including the single sign-on provisions of the Payment Card
Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) designed to
prevent theft of cardholder data.
Quest will offer Passlogix technology to its clients
throughout the Western US, including California, Texas and
Nevada, as well as on the Eastern seaboard.
“Our clients have shared painful experiences in managing user
access to applications, both from usability and security
perspectives,” said Tim Burke, Quest President and CEO.
“Partnering with Passlogix will enable us to solve these
problems with products that fit our policy of handling only
best-of-breed technology.” “Quest has ranked in the
VARBusiness 500 listing of North America’s top technology
integrators for 12 consecutive years, and their client list
includes some of the world’s best-known companies,” said
Sean Harris, VP Global Sales for Passlogix. “They are a
valuable addition to our partner network.”
v-GO Single Sign-On, the cornerstone of the
v-GO Access
Accelerator Suite, enables users to access any Windows,
mainframe or Web application with a single Windows logon
rather than remembering, managing and inputting different
passwords for each account. It also includes the ability to
automate user sign-on and sign-off of kiosk sessions; extend
single sign-on to remote, mobile and temporary users; add
strong authentication to applications without expensive
custom integration; and audit account usage to streamline
identity management deployments.
v-GO Universal Authentication Manager allows
organizations to deploy strong authentication for Windows
logon to improve security and regulatory compliance efforts
without the cost, complexity or one-device limitation of
other solutions. The software enables Windows to recognize
any identification device including building access badges,
government-issued citizen identity cards, smart cards, OTP
tokens and/or laptop biometric readers from any vendor;
lowers costs by eliminating the need for proprietary
authentication servers; and simplifies the user logon
process.
Other v-GO solutions securely manage shared passwords for
administrators and others who must share account IDs, and
automate resets of Windows logon passwords. All v-GO
products scale to tens of thousands of users, enable
wizard-based integration that eliminates the need to write
scripts or connectors even to homegrown or legacy
applications, and install on existing servers without adding
dedicated or proprietary hardware to minimize total cost of
ownership and allow rapid payback on investment.
All v-GO products are available immediately from
